The Japanese digital imaging and photo imaging technology, Nikon has revealed today that it has fixed August 5, 2022, to unveil the effective 20.88 million pixels APS-C size mirrorless camera – Z 30.
The APS-C camera is positioned as an entry-level mirrorless camera with excellent high-sensitivity performance and can obtain clear images even in the dark.
The Nikon Z 30 has the same 20.9-megapixel APS-C format CMOS image sensor as the Nikon Z FC. The processor is the same EXPEED 6 image processor found in the Nikon Z 7, and it can accomplish the standard ISO sensitivity range of ISO 100-51200 while shooting high-quality video in indoor, outdoor, and night scenarios. Shutter speed ranges from 1/4000 to 30 seconds, with a maximum frame rate of 11 frames per second.
The body dimensions of the camera are approximately 128 x 73.5 x 59.5mm; the empty body weighs around 350g, while the battery with a memory card weighs approximately 405g (without the body cap). A 3-inch 1.04 million-dot reversible TFT LCD touch screen is included. The fuselage’s primary interfaces are a single SD card slot (UHS-I compliant), a C-type USB interface, and a D-type HDMI interface.
In addition, the device can record DX-format 4K UHD video with a viewing angle of roughly 100 percent in 4K UHD/30p. There are also five-crop 4K Ultra HD/30p and Full HD/120p options for generating slow-motion footage. The Z 30 has a recording time of up to 125 minutes and can capture 4K UHD video for roughly 35 minutes.
The Z30 also uses Eye Detection Autofocus (AF) and Animal Detection Autofocus (AF) to recognize the eyes of human subjects and pets, respectively, allowing users to catch motion in both video and snapshot capture subjects’ eyes.
At the same time, the Z30 has AF-F (full-time AF), which keeps focusing even when the subject moves or the composition changes, and also has Silent Mode, which allows for silent operation when the shutter is released.
The mirrorless camera is designed specifically for video recording. The deeply grooved grip is pleasant and sturdy for extended shots, and the top has a larger, more visible video-recording button than standard models. It also has a big microphone for easy windshield mounting and a REC light on the front of the camera to indicate recording status.
Although, during the announcement the digital imagery giant did not reveal the starting price of the mirrorless camera, however, in a similar report, IT House reported that the APS-C mirrorless camera Z 30 will be launched for a starting price of 4,799 yuan.
